Tyler Reddick Wins AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway in Overtime Finish Tyler Reddick secured his fifth victory of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season by winning the AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway in a dramatic overtime finish on Sunday, April 19, 2026. Driving the No. 45 Toyota for 23XI Racing, Reddick passed Kyle Larson in the final corners after a restart in second place to claim the win by 0.118 seconds. The race featured stage wins by Denny Hamlin in Stage 1 and Kyle Larson in Stage 2. Hamlin appeared poised for victory until a caution before the white flag triggered an overtime finish, setting up Reddick’s decisive move. Reddick started from the pole position and led at various points throughout the event before making his final pass on Larson to reach victory lane. This win marked Reddick’s fifth of the season in the first nine races, a feat last accomplished by Dale Earnhardt in 1987. Reddick joined Earnhardt, Richard Petty, and Cale Yarborough as the only drivers in NASCAR Cup Series history to win five of the first nine races in a season. He previously won at Daytona 500, Darlington, Circuit of the Americas, and Atlanta Motor Speedway. During the celebration, Reddick accidentally made contact with his Toyota teammate Christopher Bell while driving to victory lane, an incident he described as unintentional. Joe Gibbs Racing’s Chase Briscoe finished third, Denny Hamlin fourth, and Bubba Wallace fifth, giving Toyota four of the top five positions. Michael Jordan, co-owner of 23XI Racing, attended the race and celebrated with the team afterward, praising Reddick’s performance and clutch driving in the final laps. Reddick acknowledged the challenge of late-race restarts, stating he had a strong run on Larson and was surprised to successfully execute the inside pass. The AdventHealth 400 served as the ninth race of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season, with the green flag dropping at 2 p.m. ET as scheduled. Reddick now turns his focus to Talladega Superspeedway for the next event, aiming to extend his strong start to the season.
