Ant and Dec Issue Warning to Britain’s Got Talent Judges Following I’m A Celebrity Chaos

Ant and Dec returned to host the first live semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday, April 25, 2026, just one day after presiding over a tense and chaotic finale of I’m A Celebrity… South Africa. The duo used their opening remarks to address the judges directly, issuing a clear warning about expected behaviour following the drama that unfolded the previous night.

After opening the show with Ant McPartlin declaring, “I just love live TV,” and Dec Donnelly agreeing, “There’s nothing better,” the hosts turned to the judging panel — KSI, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell — to deliver their message.

Ant stated: “We had quite enough drama on the telly last night so can you four please be on your best behaviour.” Dec then followed up with a pointed joke: “If you misbehave you’ll be out quicker than Sinitta.”

The reference to Sinitta alluded to her abrupt exit from the I’m A Celebrity final after tensions escalated between contestants. Former footballer Jimmy Bullard had confronted winner Adam Thomas on stage, accusing him of being “abusive, aggressive and intimidating” during a trial and claiming ITV had not shown the “true extent” of his behaviour. Ant and Dec defended the show’s editing, asserting it provided “an accurate representation of events.” Gemma Collins and Sinitta similarly walked off the stage during the fallout.

Despite the behind-the-scenes tension, Ant and Dec resumed their Britain’s Got Talent duties without delay, using humour to acknowledge the previous night’s events while setting a tone for the semi-finals.

Their comments were widely reported across UK media outlets as a rare moment of the usually lighthearted hosts addressing recent controversy head-on, blending their signature wit with a firm reminder of professionalism live on air.
