Wimbledon Broadcast Services (WBS) has extended its long-term agreement with NEP Europe, ensuring the provider will continue to deliver broadcast technical services for The Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis Club. The multi-year agreement confirms NEP Europe’s role in managing host broadcast services, including the upcoming 2026 tournament.
Technical Infrastructure for The Championships
For the 2026 event, NEP Europe is scaling its use of IP-based broadcast infrastructure to manage the increasing complexity of global sports coverage. According to the company, the production setup will utilize a blend of outside broadcast units, production galleries, and automated systems to support coverage through a combination of outside broadcast units, production galleries, automated courts and media management systems.
The technical deployment includes:
- Camera Operations: More than 150 cameras, including the use of robotic Tr-ACE systems for automated coverage across multiple courts.
- Slow-Motion Technology: The implementation of Nucleus camera systems on Centre Court and No.1 Court to capture 4K super slow-motion footage.
- Replay Capacity: A total of 32 replay servers to facilitate real-time production.
- Grounds Display: Creative Technology, an NEP Group company, will supply 74 LED screens, including units for public viewing areas like Henman Hill.
Production Scale and Workflow
The operation involves more than 350 NEP personnel, who oversee production across the main tournament grounds and the qualifying competition at Roehampton.

Paul Davies, Associate Director of Broadcast, Production, and Media Rights at the All England Lawn Tennis Club, stated that the collaboration focuses on evolving production methods while maintaining the quality expected by global broadcast partners. "NEP has worked in close collaboration with our team to refine workflows, adopt new technologies and continually improve our production approach," Davies said.
Ed Tischler, Managing Director of NEP UK, noted that the extension of the partnership is built on a "shared commitment to continually improving how The Championships is delivered." Tischler added that the integration of new technologies allows both teams to innovate more effectively, providing a more robust foundation for the event’s annual global distribution.
