Podean Acquires Social Commerce Club to Expand TikTok Shop Capabilities
Podean, a global marketplace marketing agency, has acquired Social Commerce Club (SCC), a TikTok Shop “Platinum Partner,” to bolster its social commerce and retail media operations. The acquisition, announced on July 15, 2026, represents Podean’s sixth acquisition in nine months and aims to integrate SCC’s creator-led sales expertise with Podean’s existing global marketplace infrastructure. The combined entity will manage over $600 million in annual media spend across 21 countries.
Strategic Integration of Social Commerce Expertise
The move addresses the rapid growth of social commerce, a sector projected to see U.S. sales reach $23.4 billion by the end of 2026. By acquiring SCC, Podean gains access to a specialized team of 70 professionals with a proven track record in driving performance on TikTok Shop. SCC, known for its work with brands such as HeyDude—which was named TikTok Shop’s Top Growth Seller of the Year—brings a model that combines end-to-end shop setup with high-velocity “blitz” campaigns.

“What truly sets SCC apart is their scale, deep expertise, the ‘Halo’ platform and their highly engaged network of creators,” said Travis Johnson, CEO of Podean. Johnson noted that the integration allows Podean to translate TikTok Shop performance into broader growth across other ecommerce channels, including Amazon and their own website sales.
Technological Synergies and AI Deployment
A central component of the deal is the integration of SCC’s “Halo” platform into Podean’s proprietary “Purvey.AI” system. Halo provides intelligence on how TikTok Shop content influences cross-channel sales, a metric often difficult for brands to track in isolation. With the acquisition, Podean now employs over 30 technologists focused on AI-driven insights that bridge the gap between social media engagement and marketplace conversion.
This technical consolidation aims to provide clients with real-time data to optimize media spend across a diverse range of platforms, including Walmart, Mercado Libre, Instacart, and Target, in addition to TikTok Shop.
Leadership and Future Expansion
Following the acquisition, the Social Commerce Club brand will be retained. SCC CEO Parker Kump will lead the combined group, while SCC President Jordan West will continue to oversee strategy, growth, and marketing. West, who hosts “The Unofficial TikTok Shop Podcast,” emphasized that the partnership provides the infrastructure needed to scale their creator network globally.

Podean plans to expand SCC’s geographic footprint to match the availability of TikTok Shop and similar platforms like WhatNot and Shopee. With this acquisition, Podean’s total headcount reaches 465 employees, maintaining 24/7 operational capability across all major time zones to support its client base of over 500 brands.
