Singaporean youth can now access co-living spaces at a 30% discount under a sweeping national blueprint designed to address housing affordability, career anxiety, and financial literacy.

The new five-year strategy responds directly to mounting anxieties among young citizens.

Discounted Co-Living Rooms and Independent Living

To ease the transition into adulthood, the government introduced subsidized independent living options. Eligible young adults can rent co-living spaces with a 30% price reduction through partnered operators participating in the initiative.

Curiosity Credits and Adulting 101 Programs

Beyond housing relief, the SG Youth Plan introduces financial support for personal and professional development. The government is issuing $500 curiosity credits to help young people explore hobbies, upskill, and test new career pathways without draining their savings.

Complementing the credits, the government is expanding “Adulting 101” workshops.

Furthermore, the plan scales up job taster programs.
