During the evaluation of the contestants’ dishes, Prince Harry called the MasterChef studio to check in on the production, according to Network 10 footage. “Hi my love!” Meghan said to the phone camera, announcing to the kitchen crew, “My husband’s here.” After she introduced the Duke of Sussex to the room, Prince Harry asked from the speakerline, “Have I interrupted something important?” Prince Harry praised the production team for the set decorations, prompting judge Poh Ling Yeow to respond that they “fancied the joint up for your beautiful wife.” The Duke of Sussex told his wife to enjoy the experience before signing off by stating he was very sorry to disturb the filming.

Meghan stated that joining the program was an easy decision due to her love of food and her admiration for Australia, according to Network 10.
