X Launches X Money: High-Yield Accounts and Apple Wallet Support

X Money has officially launched for US Premium and Premium+ subscribers, according to an announcement by X. The newly rolled-out financial feature combines a digital deposit account offering up to 6% APY, free instant peer-to-peer transfers on the platform, and a physical Visa debit card, alongside built-in Apple Wallet support.

Rollout Details and Availability

The launch marks a transition for the platform’s financial tooling, moving the service beyond its invite-only beta phase. According to reporting by 9to5Mac’s Zac Hall, the feature set is rolling out to paying subscribers in the United States starting today. Users subscribing to the Premium or Premium+ tiers gain immediate access to set up the deposit account and request the accompanying Visa debit card.

Integration with Apple Wallet allows users to provision their X Money debit cards directly onto iOS devices for contactless point-of-sale transactions and in-app purchases.

Core Financial Features

The platform’s new financial architecture centers on three main components:

  • Instant Transfers: Users can execute free, immediate peer-to-peer money transfers directly within the X ecosystem.
  • Visa Debit Card: Account holders receive a physical Visa debit card backed by Apple Wallet compatibility for everyday spending.
