Sony WH-CH730N and WH-CH530 Headphones Leaked in Import Filings

Regulatory import filings discovered by The Walkman Blog in Vietnam and the Philippines reveal that Sony is preparing to launch two new audio products: the WH-CH730N and WH-CH530 headphones. The upcoming devices carry internal model numbers YY3006 and YY3005, respectively, serving as the direct successors to the WH-CH720N and the budget-friendly WH-CH520.

Color Options and Regional Variations

According to the documentation unearthed by The Walkman Blog, Sony plans to distribute both headsets in multiple colorways. The over-ear WH-CH730N, carrying model number YY3006, will launch in black, white, pink, blue, and beige.

The lighter, on-ear WH-CH530—designated by model number YY3005—drops the beige option found on its higher-end sibling. Instead, import documents show that the entry-level model adds red and mint green to core variations of black, white, pink, and blue.

Pricing Expectations and Release Timeline

Neither filing provides an official release date or pricing details for either headset. The predecessor WH-CH720N debuted at an MSRP of $179.99, while the value-focused WH-CH520 launched at $69.99.

As reported by The Walkman Blog, Sony could time the official unveiling around IFA 2026, which begins on September 4. Past hardware cycles show the electronics manufacturer frequently utilizes late-summer trade events to introduce refreshed consumer audio lines, though official confirmation from Sony remains pending.
