Milan is expanding its ZEROSEI network with two new educational facilities for children under six years old in the San Siro and Quarto Oggiaro neighborhoods, scheduled to open their doors in early 2027. According to Milan Deputy Mayor for Education Anna Scavuzzo, municipal officials are advancing construction work at sites located on Via Stratico in Municipio 7 and Via Arsia in Municipio 8 to broaden free municipal early childhood programs for local families.
Via Stratico Facility Expands Selinunte District Support
The new ZEROSEI space on Via Stratico will occupy municipal rooms located right next to the local municipal nursery and preschool in the Selinunte district. According to municipal announcements, this site is funded through Milan’s participation in the “NOVA – Centres communautaires 0/6” program. A coalition of major Italian grant-making organizations backs this initiative, including Fondation De Agostini, Fondation Agnelli, Fondation Edoardo Garrone, Fondation Paolo Bulgari, Fondation Pietro Pittini, and Fondation Human Safety Net. Beyond Milan, these philanthropic partners support parallel educational, social, and cultural programs in Bari, Rome, Genoa, and Savona.
Via Arsia Site Brings Network to Quarto Oggiaro
The second upcoming location on Via Arsia will operate inside municipal spaces adjacent to a local preschool in Quarto Oggiaro. The social enterprise Con i Bambini selected this program as part of its wider “Organiser l’espoir” national initiative.
ZeroSei Network Growth Across Milan
With these two new additions, Milan’s ZEROSEI network will expand to a total of six locations across the city. The network currently includes LABZEROSEI at Trotter Park, alongside established spaces on Via Anselmo da Baggio, Via Feltre, and Via Lope de Vega. According to city plans, all network sites will continue to offer free educational workshops, community events, play sessions, family meetings, and specific parenting support resources for children under six.
