Residents can access these services by taking their ward-issued voucher to a designated medical institution.
Female Regular Immunization Program and Eligibility
For female residents, the immunization is classified as a routine preventative vaccination provided at no cost. According to ward documentation, eligibility covers females born between April 2, 2010, and April 1, 2015. Depending on the age at which the series begins and the timing of the doses, the required vaccination schedule consists of two to three total injections using the 9-valent vaccine, known as Silgard 9.
Shinjuku Ward confirmed that vaccination vouchers were mailed out on March 25 to female residents born between April 2, 2014, and April 1, 2015. Individuals within the eligible birth cohort who have not received or cannot locate their voucher must contact municipal administrators directly to reissue the necessary documentation.
Male Voluntary Immunization Scope
Male residents born between April 2, 2010, and April 1, 2015, are eligible for voluntary immunizations coordinated through the ward. Unlike the female routine schedule, the male voluntary track accommodates both the 4-valent vaccine, Gardasil, and the 9-valent vaccine, Silgard 9, administered in a series of two to three doses based on the initial start date.
