Accompanying the Chief Executive on the delegation, the Secretary for Economy and Finance, Ng Wai Han, attended the “Macao-Fujian Regional Synergistic Development Briefing Session” held in Fuzhou City, as reported by the Macao Special Administrative Region Government. The briefing highlighted collaborative frameworks designed to align Fujian’s robust industrial capacity with Macau’s strategic position in the Greater Bay Area.
Inspection and Research Activities in Fuzhou
As part of the multi-day itinerary, Sam Hou Fai conducted an inspection and research tour across Fuzhou City to study urban planning, industrial upgrading, and economic development strategies.
The research visit concluded the official regional schedule, marking a step in Macau’s broader efforts to diversify its economy away from reliance on gaming and toward regional integration within southern and southeastern China.
