Paramount Animation is developing a new animated musical-comedy centered on an Indian-American teenager from New Jersey who discovers she has been pulled into the world of a Bollywood musical, according to studio announcements.
Creative Team and Production Details
The screenplay is written by Jaydeep Hasrajani and Jake Goldman, according to production disclosures.
Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley are set to produce the film under their first-look deal with Paramount via their GoldDay banner, with Sara Smith overseeing the project for them. Actor and producer Kunal Nayyar is also producing through his Good Karma banner, with Logan Kovarick serving as executive producer.

The untitled Bollywood project joins a slate of features currently in development under Paramount Animation head Jennifer Dodge.
