Late-Night Surveillance Captures Disturbing Warning
Security camera footage captured a person wearing a red-and-black clown costume walking near homes just three blocks away from the eventual crime scene hours before the homicide. According to police statements cited by CNN, the figure approached a Ring doorbell camera, looked directly into the lens, and whispered, “I’m looking for you.” Local residents reported seeing an individual carrying a large knife and peering through windows that same night. Lee Palmer, whose mother owns the home with the doorbell camera, told CNN affiliate KSDK News about his immediate fear upon reviewing the footage, stating he worried the intruder intended harm to anyone inside.
Victim Identified as Marine Veteran and Retired Bus Driver
The St. Clair County coroner identified the victim as John Wesley Allen Sr., a 78-year-old Marine veteran who spent more than 35 years working as a bus driver.
