South Korean YouTuber Ralral revealed experiencing adverse physical reactions to popular weight-loss medications while updating followers on her ongoing post-partum fitness journey. According to OSEN and Biz.Chosun reports, the content creator shared details about her dieting struggles during a live social media Q&A session on October 10.

Ralral, who gave birth to her first daughter, Seobin, in July 2024 following an out-of-wedlock pregnancy earlier that year, stated that her weight previously reached 77 kilograms. Speaking to followers while abstaining from alcohol, she admitted she lost 7kg but still faces an uphill battle to reach her goal. “I lost 7kg, but I have 18kg left, which is absurd,” she told fans, according to Biz.Chosun.

Weight-Loss Drug Side Effects and Sensitive Constitution

When questioned by a follower about whether she was taking Mounjaro, Ralral explained that popular GLP-1 receptor agonists carry notable risks for certain users. “Mounjaro, Wegovy and other weight-loss drugs all have side effects,” Ralral stated, as reported by OSEN. She added that she belongs to a demographic susceptible to adverse reactions: “Even a 1% chance of a side effect — I’m that person who experiences it.”

The YouTuber expressed frustration over the difficulties of managing her post-pregnancy weight alongside her sensitive physical constitution. “It’s so unfair that I can’t lose weight as I want,” she said during the social media session, detailing her persistent cravings for foods like chicken feet despite her strict dieting efforts.

Broader Rollout of Weight-Loss Treatments

According to the Daily Mail, a new oral tablet form of Wegovy containing semaglutide launched in the United Kingdom, offering patients an alternative to weekly subcutaneous injections. Online pharmacies in the UK reported waiting lists exceeding 100,000 patients for the daily pill, which is approved for individuals with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher, or 27 to 30 with weight-related health conditions.
