Detectives in Northern Ireland are investigating a shooting incident after multiple shots were fired at a residential property in Lisburn during the early hours of Tuesday, August 11, 2026, according to the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI). The occupants inside the house at the time escaped injury.
Police Response to Breton Court Shooting
According to Detective Inspector Lewis of the PSNI, authorities received a report that a number of shots had been fired at a house in the Breton Court area of Lisburn shortly before 1.30am on Tuesday morning. The gunfire struck the front door and an upstairs window, causing visible structural damage to the property. A vehicle parked outside the residence was also damaged during the attack.
Police confirmed that despite the property being occupied when the shots rang out, no injuries were reported by anyone inside.
Ongoing Investigation and Appeals for Information
PSNI investigators are working to establish a clear motive behind the late-night attack. Detectives have urged members of the public who noticed suspicious activity in the Breton Court area around the time of the shooting to come forward.
Authorities have specifically requested that local residents check dash-cam footage, CCTV recordings, or doorbell camera systems for any visual evidence that might assist police enquiries.
