One person sustained injuries during a Tuesday afternoon shooting near West Clarke Street and North 27th Street in Milwaukee, according to the Milwaukee Police Department. The incident occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 11, law enforcement officials reported.

Milwaukee Police Respond to West Clarke Street Shooting

First responders transported the victim, identified as a 32-year-old, to a local hospital for medical treatment. According to the Milwaukee Police Department, the victim’s injuries are classified as non-fatal. Investigators have not yet released details regarding a motive or potential suspects in the 27th and Clarke shooting.

The incident near 27th and Clarke was one of multiple violent episodes reported across Milwaukee on Tuesday, Aug. 12, according to separate incident logs released by FOX6 News based on Milwaukee Police Department statements. In a separate shooting near 8th Street and Vliet Street around 5:30 p.m., a 29-year-old was fatally shot and pronounced dead at the scene. Police stated that a subject is currently in custody in connection with the 8th and Vliet homicide.

Later Tuesday evening, at approximately 7:26 p.m., a third shooting occurred near North 16th Street and West Hadley Street. The Milwaukee Police Department reported that a 43-year-old victim sustained gunshot wounds in that incident and received treatment at a hospital. Authorities continue to search for suspects involved in the Hadley Street shooting.
