Paramount+ released the full trailer for MobLand season two on Thursday, according to RTÉ and The Irish News. The upcoming 10-episode crime drama features Tom Hardy returning as fixer Harry Da Souza alongside Pierce Brosnan as mob boss Conrad Harrigan and Dame Helen Mirren as Maeve Harrigan, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
The Harrigan Family Faces a Death Spiral and War
The new footage shows the Harrigan crime family battling for power to run north London while facing rising rivals and internal fractures, according to The Irish News. Harry Da Souza opens the trailer by telling Conrad and Maeve Harrigan that the family is in a “death spiral,” warning that they have lost fentanyl and heroin supplies while being surrounded by sharks. According to The Hollywood Reporter, season two picks up after season one ended with Conrad and Maeve in jail before returning to face their criminal empire’s problems head-on.
The trailer showcases rapid sequences of drug packages, gunfire, and an exploding house. According to The Irish News, a voice in the trailer states that “Conrad went completely bonkers berserk” as clips show the mobster brandishing a gun and acting erratically. Brosnan’s character is also shown shouting, “You want a war? I’ll give you a war!” while Dame Helen’s character, Maeve, warns that “the clock is ticking” and is later seen drinking a martini amid the violence.
