Ukraine Launches Mass Drone Attack on Ust-Luga Port and Russian Logistics Hubs
Ukrainian forces launched a mass drone attack involving more than 50 aircraft targeting Ust-Luga, the largest Russian port on the Baltic Sea, sparking a fire according to local authorities. Leningrad Region Governor Alexandr Drozdenko reported via Telegram that air defenses intercepted 51 drones initially before updating the figure to 54, confirming that the resulting fire was extinguished without casualties.
The cross-border drone activity prompted a defensive response in neighboring Latvia, where a NATO patrol mission shot down a foreign drone that entered Latvian airspace as a result of Russian electronic warfare, according to the Latvian military. Meanwhile, near Moscow, air defenses neutralized ten drones, as reported by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobianin.
Attacks Reach Russian E-Commerce Infrastructure and Editorial Stocks
In addition to the port facilities, Ukrainian drones targeted the logistics center of Wildberries—often referred to as the Russian Amazon—located in the Tver region less than 200 kilometers northwest of Moscow. Acting local governor Vitali Koroliov stated on the messaging platform MAX that falling debris damaged a warehouse wall in the Kalininski district, though employees escaped injury and the fire was quickly put out. Wildberries confirmed via Telegram that the facility sustained minor damage and goods were unaffected.
The broader campaign against logistics facilities has burned more than eleven million books in recent weeks during drone strikes on Wildberries logistics centers, according to Russian editorial sources cited by the newspaper Védomosti. The Exmo-AST publishing group reported the complete destruction of print runs including Nadezhda Zhúkova’s Abecedario, a new edition of the Russian Constitution, and regional road maps.
Escalation in Kramatorsk and Frontline Dynamics
While aerial infrastructure strikes continue deep within Russian territory, ground and air attacks persist in Ukraine. The strike left one person dead and 17 others injured.
Along the wider frontline, Russian troops maintain tactical advances in sectors of Sumy, near Pokrovsk, and western Zaporiyia, while Ukrainian forces have secured limited gains near Kostantinovka-Druzhkivka in Donetsk. Analysts note that efforts by Ukraine and SpaceX to restrict Russian access to Starlink terminals have reduced the effectiveness of Russian drone operations by 20 to 40 percent over a two-week period, even as Moscow continues intensive missile and drone campaigns targeting Ukrainian energy and port infrastructure.
