The streaming platform iQIYI has released a concept trailer for the upcoming Chinese urban fantasy series “Red Moon Appeared.” According to platform listings, the series is slated for release in 2027 and is set against a backdrop of sudden apocalyptic chaos triggered by a mysterious transformation of the moon.

Directed by Guo Qilin, the fantasy drama explores a world where a strange red glow plunges humanity into unknown danger. Per the official series synopsis, some individuals lose consciousness and transform into monsters, while others awaken supernatural abilities. Amid shifting factions like the high-wall city of Qinggang, the Sea Kingdom, and the wilderness, civilization struggles to rebuild itself on ruins.
Lu Xin Enters the Special Clearance Department
The narrative centers on Lu Xin, an ordinary office worker living in Qinggang who is inadvertently drawn into a bizarre pollution event. According to the production details, Lu Xin awakens his own extraordinary powers during a life-or-death moment, easily crushing monsters to reverse his fate. He is subsequently recruited by a special supernatural agency known as the Special Clearance Department.
