According to the Weser-Göhl police zone, a woman was discovered bleeding heavily from the abdomen in Eupen-Bellmerin on Monday, August 25, 2026, around 17:15. The victim reported to responding officers that she had been attacked by another woman.

Police Intervention and Hospital Transport in Eupen

Upon arriving at the scene in the Eupen-Bellmerin neighborhood, officers from the Weser-Göhl zone found the injured woman and immediately administered first aid while waiting for emergency medical services to arrive, as reported by Sudinfo journalist Nicolas Evrard. The victim was subsequently transported to the hospital in Eupen for further medical treatment.

To preserve evidence for the ongoing investigation, law enforcement temporarily secured the area and closed a section of Bellmerin street to traffic. Although the suspected assailant had already fled the scene before police arrived, officers managed to establish contact with her shortly afterward.

Surrender and Investigation by Local Judicial Police

Following contact by law enforcement, the suspect voluntarily traveled to the Eupen police station, where she was officially taken into custody. The local judicial police have since taken over the case to establish the precise chronology and motives behind the violent confrontation.
