The Womack Sisters—comprising Kucha, Zeimani, and BG Womack—have officially released their self-titled debut album, bringing a multigenerational soul legacy into the contemporary music landscape according to press materials outlined by Tinnitist. As the granddaughters of legendary singer Sam Cooke and the nieces of soul icon Bobby Womack, the trio’s new body of work blends classic sonic structures with modern themes while bypassing industry pressures to conform to commercial pop ideals.

A Lifelong Musical Journey Across the Globe

Growing up, the sisters lived a nomadic lifestyle on the road as their parents, Zekkariyas and Zeriiya (formerly known as Womack and Womack), traveled the world for performances. According to the edited press release published by Tinnitist, the sisters’ schools were stages and studios across London, Thailand, Amsterdam, Kenya, Paris, Sydney, Zurich, Vienna, Tanzania, New York, Miami, West Virginia, and the Bahamas. Surrounded constantly by family and music, the siblings developed harmonies and individual vocal identities before they could walk.

Vocal Dynamics and Standout Tracks on The Womack Sisters

The self-titled release features distinct vocal highlights from each sister across an intensely soulful tracklist:

  • Kucha Womack: As the youngest sister and a mother of two, Kucha delivers a pure tone influenced by Curtis Mayfield and Smokey Robinson, highlighted on the Impressions-tinged ballad “I Am Your Season,” which was penned by Wayne Gordon according to Tinnitist.
  • Zeimani Womack: Zeimani brings a rich, full, and sultry vocal style to tracks like “Didn’t Mean Much To Me,” moving smoothly from a subdued moan to a powerful squall.
  • BG Womack: BG showcases a boundless range, moving between clean pop runs and bluesiest gospel growls on tracks such as “Monster” and “I Just Don’t Want You (To Say Goodbye),” channeling her grandfather’s vocal versatility.

The album’s emotional core is further defined when the three voices merge on tracks like “Chauffeur,” “You Went Away Too Long,” and “Laughter And Tears.” The project concludes with a clear statement of familial solidarity captured in its final refrain, as reported by Tinnitist: “People come and go, But, darling this I know, It will always be my sisters and me.”
