Elmarie Mawe, a defining voice of Cork radio, actor, teacher, and champion of the arts, has died following a battle with cancer, according to regional media reports. She was widely known across Cork and beyond for hosting The Arts House on Cork’s 96FM and C103 for more than 25 years.
A Quarter Century Spotlighting the Arts
For nearly three decades, Ms Mawe served as a prominent advocate for local theatre, literature, music, and visual arts, according to coverage from the Irish Examiner and irishmirror.ie.
