Some victims have been discovered nearly 100 miles from the flood’s epicentre, with others washing into rivers in neighbouring India.

Families have gathered outside major medical facilities in Kathmandu, such as the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, to search for missing relatives. The hospital’s morgue, built to hold 50 bodies, received roughly 60 bodies from flood zones located more than three hours away. Among the survivors receiving medical care at the facility is a five-year-old girl named Manisha, who was rescued after spending nearly four days trapped under rubble, according to hospital spokesman Dr. Gopal Sedain.
The disaster’s reach extends beyond Nepal’s borders. Relief operations face severe hurdles as remote communities remain isolated.
