Auburn University athletics announced a comprehensive series of gameday enhancements and stadium infrastructure changes for the 2026 football season, headlined by the ongoing Jordan-Hare North Project. The updates arrive as the Tigers prepare to host Southern Miss for their home opener at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Jordan-Hare North Project Impacts Pedestrian Flow
The most substantial physical adjustments to the gameday experience stem from construction on the north side of the stadium. Fans can no longer walk along Heisman Drive on the north side while construction is active. Pedestrians moving between the east and west sides of the venue must instead utilize Thach Concourse. While the north concourse remains open for east-west foot traffic, spaces near the northeast and northwest corners are noticeably narrower due to ongoing work, and surrounding tailgating and gathering areas face operational impacts.
The loss of the north end zone parking lot has created heightened traffic and congestion on the south side of the stadium. Furthermore, visiting team buses are dropping off personnel at Gate 8.5 for the duration of the construction phase.
Tiger Walk Re-scheduled and Given a New Home
Auburn shifted traditional schedules by moving Tiger Walk to two and a half hours before kickoff. Accompanying this change is the introduction of Tiger Walk Plaza near the Plainsman Park entrance, billed as a primary gameday destination. The new plaza features a mobile video board, live music performances beginning prior to Tiger Walk, and serves as the updated home for the Tiger Tailgate Show.
Stadium Infrastructure, Concessions, and Retail Upgrades
Inside the venue, Auburn athletics partnered with Auburn student affairs to expand the south student concourse by nearly 20 feet, which officials noted represents one of the most significant physical alterations to that student section in recent years. The expanded zone incorporates additional concession stands.
To reduce wait times, Auburn added fast flight concession locations at Sections 5, 7, 12, 16, 24, and 39, alongside new food vendors including Chicken Salad Chick, Shake On It ice cream, and Philly Connection. In addition, the athletic department upgraded its intelligent lighting and laser technology system—initially integrated during the previous season—ahead of the 2026 kickoff.
Retail options also expanded with the addition of new walk-in team shop spaces located in the northwest and northeast corners of Jordan-Hare Stadium. Supplementary retail locations are operating outside the stadium near Tiger Walk, Heisman Drive, and North Donahue Drive close to Nichols Lawn.
