Automotive supplier Forvia Hella faces a leadership transition as Chief Financial Officer Philippe Vienney announced he will not renew his contract when it expires on February 28, 2027, according to an official company announcement reported by dpa-AFX and Automobil Produktion.

Departure Details and Succession Timeline

Philippe Vienney, a 60-year-old French national, will step down from his post in the management board upon the completion of his current term. According to Automobil Produktion, the MDax-listed lighting and electronics specialist has not yet named a successor but stated that it will inform the public about the transition in a timely manner. Vienney has committed to remaining in office until the end of February 2027 and will closely manage the handover process to his incoming replacement.

Wolfgang Ziebart, chairman of the shareholder committee of Forvia Hella, acknowledged Vienney’s tenure by stating that the CFO made an essential contribution to steering the company safely through its ongoing transformation with a very solid financial foundation, as reported by Automobil Produktion.

Background and Corporate Context

Vienney assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer and head of finance and controlling at Forvia Hella on March 1, 2024. Prior to joining the Lippstadt-headquartered automotive supplier, he spent approximately 25 years working across various financial positions within the broader Forvia group, most recently serving as Chief Financial Officer of the Business Group Clean Mobility, according to company data cited by Automobil Produktion.

The planned departure arrives during a challenging economic period for the automotive supply sector. While Forvia Hella recently reaffirmed its annual financial guidance, the company experienced a 12 percent drop in operating income down to 96 million euros during the first quarter of 2026. According to Automobil Produktion, that financial contraction stemmed primarily from a softer overall industry environment alongside ongoing operational hurdles within the core lighting business.

Broader Industry Dynamics

Forvia recently secured a multi-year contract from Chinese electric vehicle brand Luxeed to supply hundreds of thousands of seating systems valued at several hundred million euros, as detailed by Automobil Produktion.
