The Ayuntamiento de Sant Josep de sa Talaia has officially launched its multi-faceted municipal programs for the 2026/2027 academic year, combining the sports-focused initiation schools with comprehensive cultural and active aging offerings across the municipality’s various population centers, according to the official municipal portal at www.santjosep.org.

Municipal Sports Initiation Schools for the 2026/2027 Season

The municipal lineup includes badminton via Club Bàdminton Es Vedrà, basketball managed by Cric Ses Salines, cycling, and football schools operated by entities like Bahía Sant Agustí, Unió Esportiva Sant Josep, and Penya Esportiva Sant Jordi. Additional offerings span indoor football through Club Deportivo HEMA and UD Isleñas Futsal, rhythmic gymnastics with Club Rítmica Sant Josep, and handball managed by Handbol Club Sant Josep.

The sports selection also incorporates inclusive initiatives, such as programs run by ADDIF at CEIP Can Guerxo, judo classes with Judo Sant Jordi, padel for children and adults via Ibiza Padel Indoor and Club de Tennis Pàdel Sant Josep, rugby coordinated by Sant Josep Rugby Club in Sant Agustí, and tennis with Dream Tennis Ibiza.

Registration Fees and Resident Discounts

To broaden accessibility, the municipal government implements a structured discount framework: a 20% reduction applies to a second activity on the most economical option, and a 25% discount is available for family units with three or more enrolled members. Pension card holders and individuals with a recognized disability exceeding 33% receive a 40% discount, while large or single-parent families qualify for a 90% reduction upon submitting official accreditation.

Sant Josep Actiu and Gaudeix a Sant Josep Programs

Running alongside the sports schools, the municipal agenda incorporates the broader ‘Sant Josep Actiu’ initiative for children and adults and the ‘Gaudeix a Sant Josep’ program dedicated to residents over 65, according to announcements from Sant Josep de sa Talaia. Cultural Councillor Maria José Ríos noted that the initiatives aim to offer cultural and formative options for all demographics. Sports Councillor Xicu Ribas emphasized that physical activity remains a fundamental tool for health and community wellbeing across the municipality’s distinct nuclei.
