The World Trade Center Steel Memorial at the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk will host the Pueblo Remembers 9/11 program to honor the anniversary of the attacks, according to FOX21 News. Guest arrivals begin at 7:30 a.m. followed by music at 7:40 a.m. and a formal ceremony featuring a bell ringing at 7:58 a.m. The formal proceedings conclude around 8:40 a.m., leading directly into a Community Walk of Silence and the Pueblo City-County (PCC) Memorial Stair Climb at 8:45 a.m.
Additional events at the riverwalk include a Pueblo Police Department commemorative badge presentation. The PCC Memorial Stair Climb runs until 12:00 p.m., according to the schedule reported by FOX21 News.
Colorado Springs Stair Climb and First Responder Match
In Colorado Springs, a separate 20th Anniversary 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 4385 Tutt Blvd, as reported by FOX21 News. Later in the day, Weidner Field will host a Police versus Fire soccer match taking place immediately after the Switchbacks game against Rio Grande FC.
