According to the Independent, the Epiq utilizes the Volkswagen Group’s MEB+ platform, which is engineered specifically for smaller electric vehicles with a front-wheel-drive, single-motor layout. The lineup features three power outputs and battery configurations. Meanwhile, the range-topping Epiq 55 utilizes a larger 55kWh battery that produces 208bhp, achieving a 0-62mph time of 7.4 seconds according to Top Gear and the Independent, or 0-60mph in 6.9 seconds according to the Irish News.
Official range figures for the Epiq 55 reach up to approximately 272 miles, with energy consumption quoted at roughly 4.8 miles per kWh, based on testing details published by the Independent. DC fast charging on the most powerful version peaks at 105kW to 125kW—enabling a 10 to 80 percent charge in 20 to 24 minutes depending on the testing report—while all models support 11kW AC home and public post charging.
