The 19th edition of the Straleno running event returns to Leno on Sunday, September 13, 2026, bringing together non-competitive athletics, youth races, and community health initiatives organized by ASD Straleno in collaboration with local sports associations.

Event Schedule and Race Categories

According to organizers, the 2026 event features a diverse program designed for participants of all age groups. The schedule kicks off with a gathering at 7:00 AM at the Handball Leno facility, located at via M.L. King 25. The morning’s athletic competitions begin at 8:45 AM with the Straleno Baby races, which are split into two distinct distance categories: a 500-meter course for children born between 2013 and 2026, and a 1-kilometer course for those born between 2009 and 2012. Following the youth events, the main adult non-competitive 10-kilometer run and the 5-kilometer Camminata Paolo “Il Pro” Degiacomi walk both start at 9:00 AM.

Integrating Health and Community Awareness

The 2026 edition expands its community focus by incorporating the “Villaggio della Prevenzione” (Prevention Village) in collaboration with Pink Charity. This initiative aims to blend community sports participation with public health awareness, emphasizing the importance of preventative care. Organizers frame the morning around sports, sharing, and prevention, capturing the community spirit with the official event motto: “Se manchi tu… manca il protagonista” (If you’re missing… the protagonist is missing).
