Korea Investment & Securities has launched a promotional campaign targeting branch customers to encourage trading in the Korea Exchange domestic stock after-market, which runs through March 30, according to an announcement on March 14.
The brokerage structured the promotional rollout around four distinct reward categories designed to incentivize both new account activity and asset transfers from competing firms. According to the company, the initiative aims to provide accessible asset management options for retail investors who find it difficult to execute trades during standard daytime hours.
Trading Incentives and Account Milestones
For new participants, the firm is offering a Shinsegae mobile gift certificate worth 20,000 KRW to the first 500 customers who open a brokerage account and execute at least 100만원 in after-market trades.
Younger investors also have a dedicated category. Korea Investment & Securities stated that customers aged 39 or younger with cumulative after-market trading volume of at least 1000만원 qualify for a random draw where 100 winners will receive an Olive Young mobile gift certificate worth 30,000 KRW.
Asset Transfer Rewards and Strategic Intent
Alongside after-market trading incentives, the brokerage is running a concurrent asset-migration program titled “Domestic Stocks Gathered Through THE Hankook Investment.” This program targets investors moving domestic holdings from external brokerages into Korea Investment & Securities accounts, granting guaranteed rewards based on net transfer tiers without a random draw.

Net deposits starting at 1억원 qualify participants for tiered Shinsegae mobile gift certificates, scaling up to a maximum value of 100만원 for accounts reaching or exceeding 1 billion KRW in net transferred assets.
A representative for Korea Investment & Securities explained the operational reasoning behind the campaign, stating that the firm prepared the event so that office workers who struggle to trade during regular market hours can manage their assets conveniently through the after-market system after finishing work, according to Money Today.
