Living Security Launches Gamified 2026 Cybersecurity Awareness Month Program

Living Security expanded its 2026 Cybersecurity Awareness Month program on September 17, 2026. The Austin, Texas-based human risk management company introduced two interactive experiences designed to combat AI-powered fraud and deception in the workplace.

Living Security Unveils AI Fraud Training

The new offerings are titled Verified and Trust No One. They are part of Living Security’s campaign package built around the theme “Navigating Trust in an AI World.” Artificial intelligence accelerates the scale of cyber threats. Security teams face growing challenges in helping employees spot sophisticated social engineering tactics that bypass traditional warning signs.

The Verified Live Game-Show Challenge

Verified is a 30-minute, hosted live game-show experience. Employees evaluate scenarios involving deepfake video, cloned voices, phishing, smishing, impersonation attacks, and AI-powered automation.

According to Living Security, participants evaluate attacks collectively across three interactive rounds. They learn to identify deceptive communications without relying solely on technical glitches like poor grammar or robotic voices.

Instead, the program trains employees to spot contextual warning signs. These include unexpected urgency, changes to normal processes, and unusual requests for sensitive information or money.

The challenge also introduces emerging risks like prompt injection and AI agents acting on suspicious information. It reinforces that automation does not replace human verification.

Simulating Financial Fraud With Trust No One

Trust No One is a team-based CyberEscape Online investigation. It places employees inside an investigation centered on identity, deception, and trust involving a sophisticated fraud attempt that nearly resulted in financial loss.

Participants retrace how cybercriminals used professional profiles, company announcements, vendor relationships, other public sources, and AI-generated voice cloning to construct a convincing request from a trusted colleague.

According to Living Security, the simulation demonstrates how attackers execute scams without first breaching an organization’s systems. The investigation guides participants through three critical behaviors:

  • Slow down before acting
  • Verify information and identities through a trusted channel
  • Trust evidence and established processes, not assumptions

Addressing the Human Risk Factor

The expanded October campaign resources arrive as organizations grapple with a shifting threat landscape where synthetic content makes deception easier to create. Living Security’s campaign package includes weekly awareness content, employee communications, and planning toolkits intended to help security teams deploy engaging programs quickly.

Research conducted by Living Security alongside the Cyentia Institute highlights the necessity of targeted human risk management. It reveals that just 10% of employees account for 73% of organizational human risk.

By pairing gamified learning with actionable verification steps, the 2026 Cybersecurity Awareness Month program aims to equip workforces across healthcare, financial services, and other highly regulated industries to defend against AI-enabled deception.
