The inaugural Young Lawyers Summit convened at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld, bringing together early-career attorneys and law students for practical training led by experienced practitioners and members of the judiciary, according to The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division.
Event Structure and Educational Tracks
Designed as a free, first-of-its-kind event by The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division in partnership with The Florida Bar, the Summit offers interactive programming and skills-based instruction aimed at helping new lawyers build confidence and advocacy skills. Attendees customize their experience by selecting from three practice-focused educational tracks: Civil Litigation, Criminal Law, and Transactional Law. Each track features interactive sessions focused on real-world skills used daily in the legal profession.
Transactional Practice Training
The Transactional Law track features specific programming such as “The Transitional Toolkit: Drafting Documents Every New Lawyer Should Master,” led by Natasha Selvaraj of Berlin Patten Ebling PLLC, according to event organizers. Law students are also encouraged to attend the gathering to develop practical skills and professional connections early in their careers.
