The annual lifestyle sports festival features three competitive distances and a series of anniversary events commemorating Ansan City’s 40th anniversary.
Event Schedule and Course Breakdown
Participants are scheduled to gather at the venue starting at 8:00 a.m. for pre-event performances on September 20, 2026. An official opening ceremony begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by race departures starting at 9:00 a.m., according to event organizers.
The competition is organized across three primary distances:
- Half Marathon: 934 registered runners
- 10-Kilometer Course: 2,892 registered runners
- 5-Kilometer Course: 2,321 registered runners
Races depart sequentially by distance, concluding by 11:00 a.m., with individual category award ceremonies scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Anniversary Programming and Special Awards
To mark Ansan City’s 40th anniversary of elevation to city status, organizers have added targeted engagement events alongside standard athletic prizes. A “Find the 40th” promotion awards prizes to the male and female participants finishing in the 40th position across the running categories.
Additionally, a costume performance contest will distribute grand, runner-up, and encouragement prizes. Standard athletic awards grant trophies, certificates, and gift vouchers to the top five male and female finishers in the half marathon, 10km, and 5km events. Special recognition will also go to the oldest and youngest registered participants, as well as the group with the highest number of entries.
Concerts and Prize Drawings
Following the completion of the races and award presentations, the event transitions into a community celebration featuring live entertainment and a prize drawing. Scheduled performances include sets by cheerleading squads, trot singer Ga-eun, and singer Hong Kyung-min. The event concludes with a grand prize drawing offering a passenger vehicle, television sets, refrigerators, and washing machines to attendees.
