Essential Medical Procedure Forces U.K. Tour Postponement
In April, progressive rock band Yes announced they were postponing their U.K. tour so that Howe could undergo what the band described at the time as an essential operation requiring recovery time.
While keeping specific details of the procedure private, Howe admitted to Guitar Player that the major medical event was pretty difficult and that he prefers not to dwell on the details. Despite the disruption to his schedule, Howe confirmed that he is keeping up his playing and his momentum, noting that he is making progress, slowly.
Studio Album Release Moves Forward Amid Live Performance Delay
The health intervention forced Yes to put their live schedule on hold just as the band released their twenty-fourth studio album, Aurora, in June.
According to Howe, having ambitious goals interrupted by health issues proved immensely disappointing. Although the band had to halt their immediate live plans, the release of Aurora moved forward because it was already deep in production.
Targeted Return to the Road Slated for May 2027
Yes has rescheduled their postponed performances.
