Meta is rolling out Meta One, a tiered subscription service that introduces advanced artificial intelligence features alongside strict commercial paywalls for links on Instagram. According to company pricing details, accounts wanting to drive external web traffic must now subscribe to specific business tiers, restructuring how brands and creators operate across the tech giant’s applications.
Meta One Subscription Structure and Pricing Tiers
The Meta One service is split into three distinct categories tailored for single applications, private individuals, and commercial users, according to company disclosures. Single-app plans customize individual platforms at lower price points, while combined tiers integrate heavy AI workflows.
For single apps, Meta offers Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus at €2.99 per month each, alongside WhatsApp Plus at €2.49 per month. These individual subscriptions unlock app-specific customizations, exclusive themes, and enhanced messaging previews.
For individuals seeking broader AI integration, Meta structures two combined tiers:
- Core (€6.99/month): Combines single-app perks with expanded AI image creation and video generation via Muse models, alongside Restyle and voice effects tools.
- Premium (€20.99/month): Expands multimedia generation limits and editing capabilities using Meta AI across platforms.
Commercial Paywalls and Link Restrictions on Instagram Reels
Enterprise and creator tiers introduce the monetization of standard publishing features, specifically restricting outbound links.

Meta enforces strict monthly quotas based on subscription levels:
- Meta One Advanced (starting at €54.99/month): Permits up to four posts and four reels with outbound links per month.
- Meta One Expert (starting at €169/month): Increases the allowance to eight posts and eight reels per month.
Meta specifies that these link allowances do not roll over. Unused monthly quotas expire on the subscription renewal date. Furthermore, adolescent accounts are entirely barred from using the link-insertion feature, and users cannot edit links after publishing a post or reel.
Certain links remain exempt from monthly quotas. According to Meta’s help center guidelines, links pointing to Meta technologies—including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads—do not count toward the limit. Commercial product tags and affiliate links drawn directly from a business’s existing catalog also bypass the restriction, as they utilize the separate “Add Products” function rather than the paid “Add Link” tool.
Professional Tiers and Automated Business Tools
Commercial users can choose from business-focused tiers that scale up in operational capacity. The Essential plan starts at €16.99 per month, adding an enhanced professional profile, a featured follow button on reels, and 24/7 customer response management via WhatsApp using Meta Business Agent.

Higher tiers expand multi-user access and automation limits. The Advanced plan introduces 30-day story scheduling and analytics exports, while the Expert and Max tiers provide peak processing capacity for large operational teams managing high volumes of customer interactions through Meta’s AI tools.
