The Details of the £30 Million Serie A Transfer
According to Sky Sports, the transfer structure values the total package at £30 million and secures a future sell-on percentage for Tottenham. Spence had three years remaining on his contract with Spurs, which also contained an option for an extra year. Tottenham originally signed the full-back from Middlesbrough in July 2022 for a fee worth up to £20 million.
Spence faced heavy competition for minutes on both flanks under the setup in North London. Pedro Porro established himself as the first-choice option at right-back, while Destiny Udogie, Andy Robertson, Souza, and Ben Davies provided depth options on the left side of the defense.

Spence is no stranger to Italian football. He previously completed a six-month loan spell with Genoa beginning in January 2024.
