Actress Yoon Eun-hye has detailed a severe allergic reaction that caused widespread swelling, intense itching, and significant medical expenses over a three-week period. She shared the account in a video published on her official YouTube channel on September 22.

The breakout affected multiple areas of her body. The flare-up reached her hands, neck, feet, the area around her mouth, and underneath her eyes, forcing her to alter her daily routines and wear protective patches under a face mask.
Hands Turn Red and Swell Before Symptoms Spread
According to Yoon, the allergic reaction began abruptly on her hands. They turned deeply red, swelled significantly, and caused severe itching before spreading to other sensitive areas.
“At first, my hands turned really red, itchy, and swollen,” Yoon explained in the video, presenting photographs of her skin during the height of the reaction.
The symptoms subsequently migrated across her body. They appeared on her neck, the top of her feet, around her mouth, and beneath her eyes.
Daily Life Disrupted by Topical Treatments and Face Masks
The physical irritation severely disrupted her daily life. Managing the flare-up required her to apply topical treatments and protective patches directly onto irritated skin before wearing a protective face mask.
Intravenous Therapy and Mounting Pharmacy Bills
The prolonged duration of the illness created a substantial financial burden. Frequent visits to local pharmacies and medical clinics added up quickly over the course of three weeks.
“I went to the pharmacy so many times,” Yoon said.
She also noted that she received intravenous treatments over a two-week period to help manage the symptoms.
