Paramount+ is bringing three of its major franchises to New York Comic Con, staging panels and immersive fan experiences from October 8 through October 10, according to an announcement from the streaming service. The multi-day presence highlights upcoming genre and animation projects, including the global series premiere of Avatar: Seven Havens.
Avatar: Seven Havens Global Premiere and Panel Details
According to Paramount+, the main stage will host a celebration for the Four Nations on Friday, October 9, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Janet Varney, the original voice of Korra, will moderate the panel offering behind-the-scenes insights into the new animated series. The panel features co-creators and executive producers Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, executive producer Ethan Spaulding, co-executive producer Sehaj Sethi, and cast members Saheli Khan (Pavi), Aishu Devan (Nisha), and Major Curda (Jae).
Avatar: Seven Havens is a 2D animated original series created by DiMartino and Konietzko that follows a young Earthbender who discovers she is the next Avatar following Korra in a world altered by a devastating cataclysm. In addition to the panel, fans can visit the Avatar Legends booth (No. 1723) for photo opportunities, giveaways, and an exclusive pair of shoes created in collaboration with Reebok. Paramount Games is also hosting an Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game event at OS:NYC on October 9, featuring a high-stakes tournament, food trucks, and special prizes.
Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 Preview and 20th Anniversary Museum
Paramount+ is also previewing the second season of Dexter: Resurrection on the main stage on Thursday, October 8, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Hall, Uma Thurman, James Remar, Jack Alcott, Bokeem Woodbine, and Krysten Ritter, alongside showrunner and executive producer Clyde Phillips and executive producers Scott Reynolds and Marcos Siega.
Complementing the panel, a 20th-anniversary Dexter museum will open at Chelsea Industrial from October 9 through October 11. The pop-up installation features props, immersive set recreations, interactive experiences, and photography spaces dedicated to the franchise.
Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Season 2 and William Shatner
On Saturday, October 10, from 3:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m., the Empire Stage will host a panel dedicated to the Star Trek universe. The event features an exclusive look at the second season of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy alongside cast members Holly Hunter, Sandro Rosta, Bella Shepard, Karim Diané, and Robert Picardo, as well as co-showrunners and executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau.
