Netflix, Prime Video and Hulu release new titles for Sept 25-27

Major streaming services are rolling out a fresh slate of high-profile film and television releases for the weekend of September 25 to September 27, 2026, offering viewers a mix of true-crime drama, romance adaptations, and long-running horror anthologies. Netflix debuted its feature film about the Unabomber, Amazon Prime Video released its adaptation of the romance novel “The Love Hypothesis,” and Hulu launched the thirteenth season of Ryan Murphy’s “American Horror Story.”

Netflix Premieres True-Crime Film Unabomber

Netflix expanded its true-crime catalog on September 25, 2026, with the release of the feature film “Unabomber,” recounting the life and crimes of domestic terrorist Ted Kaczynski. Kaczynski spent two decades sending mail bombs across the United States while writing a manifesto condemning modern technology. Directed by Janus Metz Pedersen and written by Sam Chalsen and Nelson Greaves, the film features former child star Jacob Tremblay in his first major adult role as Kaczynski. The cast also includes Russell Crowe as Harvard professor Henry Murray, who interacted with Kaczynski during his undergraduate years, alongside Shailene Woodley as FBI Agent Joanne Miller and Annabelle Wallis as Harvard psychoanalyst Christiana Morgan.

Amazon Prime Video Drops The Love Hypothesis

Amazon Prime Video added the romantic comedy film “The Love Hypothesis” to its streaming library on September 23, 2026. Adapted from Ali Hazelwood’s best-selling novel, the story follows Stanford graduate student Olive Smith, played by Lili Reinhart, who kisses a stranger to convince her friend she is not interested in an ex-cohort. That stranger turns out to be strict professor Adam Carlsen, portrayed by Tom Bateman. Carlsen agrees to a fake-dating arrangement to secure an institutional grant from Stanford, leading to a conventional romance narrative as the characters develop genuine feelings.

American Horror Story Returns for Season 13 on Hulu

FX and Hulu launched the thirteenth season of Ryan Murphy’s anthology series “American Horror Story” under the title “American Horror Story: 13.” The milestone season features the return of several prominent cast members from prior seasons, including Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, and Jessica Lange.
