Darnitskiy District Residential Strike and Fire Suppression
In the Darnitskiy district, an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle struck a nine-story residential building, impacting the fourth and fifth floors, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko. The KCWA initially reported the strike at 17:38 local time, noting that a woman sustained injuries and received medical treatment at the scene. By 18:00, Mayor Klitschko confirmed that firefighters had extinguished the blaze on the affected fifth and ninth floors of the building on Revutskyi Street. Additional debris from the attack in the Darnitskiy district landed on the grounds of a local kindergarten.
Solomianskyi and Holosiivskyi District Impacts
Beyond the direct hit in Darnitskiy, falling debris triggered secondary hazards in other parts of the capital. In the Solomianskyi district, falling drone debris ignited several motor vehicles. Meanwhile, in the Holosiivskyi district, debris struck a local park area, causing an open-ground fire at one location and burning vehicles at another, as detailed by city officials.
Pechersk District Morning Air Raid and Early Warnings
The strikes followed an earlier air raid alert declared in Kyiv at 07:58 on the morning of September 25 due to drone threats, during which a yellow level of danger was announced and residents were urged to seek shelter. The KCWA reported that falling drone debris damaged a residential building in the Pechersk district on floors seven through ten, leaving one person injured before the alert was canceled at 08:25. Member of Parliament Yaroslav Zheleznyak, writing on social media, stated that he witnessed the morning attack firsthand when a high-speed projectile flew close to him just as the alert sounded, noting that schools nearby were receiving children at the time. Kyiv authorities and the MP offered differing accounts regarding the exact classification of the incoming threat, with municipal officials identifying it as a drone attack while Zheleznyak described the sound of a passing missile.
