Blockchain Summit Latam will conclude its 2026 regional tour with a three-day event in Bogotá, Colombia, running from November 4 to November 6 at the Universidad Externado de Colombia, according to event organizers. The gathering follows earlier 2026 stops in Lima, Peru, and Santiago, Chile, bringing together more than 2,300 total participants across the circuit to examine the convergence of traditional finance, fintech infrastructure, and digital assets.

Bogotá Selected as Final Stop for BSL On Tour 2026

The final leg of the circuit targets the transformation of Latin America’s financial system, with specific attention on tokenización, stablecoins, modern payment rails, and digital asset regulation. Rodrigo Sainz, founder and CEO of Blockchain Summit Latam, noted that the 2026 tour shifted away from single-conference formats to build a regional platform connecting concurrent policy and infrastructure discussions across multiple markets.

The Bogotá agenda spans buildings H and I of the Universidad Externado de Colombia, incorporating keynote presentations, panels, workshops, and private networking sessions. Institutional participants scheduled for the event include representatives from the Banco de la República, Colombia Fintech, the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, Davivienda, Bancolombia, Lulo Bank, Bitso, the Bolsa Mercantil de Colombia, and NUAM, alongside international technology and financial infrastructure providers.

Institutional Convergence Across Latin American Markets

The 2026 tour opened in May at the Universidad del Pacífico in Lima before moving to the Universidad de Chile’s Faculty of Economy and Business in Santiago. Throughout both stops, central bankers, regulatory authorities, commercial banks, stock exchanges, and blockchain infrastructure firms discussed institutional adoption.

Participants across the circuit have included delegates from the Central Bank of Chile, Banco Central do Brasil, Chile’s Commission for the Financial Market (CMF), Spain’s National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), ABIF, NUAM, Deloitte, Accenture, Revolut, Banco W, Koywe, Sured, and LUMX, as reported by DiarioBitcoin. According to Sainz, blockchain technology has transitioned from a parallel experiment into a core component of discussions involving mainstream financial institutions, exchanges, and regulators.

Academic and Regulatory Focus at Universidad Externado

Discussions during the three-day conference will examine the legal and technical frameworks required for virtual asset service providers, asset tokenization, and cross-border payment interoperability. Organizers confirmed that the Bogotá summit will also serve as a foundational step for the organization’s 2027 regional strategy.
