“The Food Diary of Miss Maid” Anime Set to Premiere in April 2026
The highly anticipated TV anime adaptation of Susumu Maeya’s manga, “The Food Diary of Miss Maid,” is scheduled to premiere in April 2026. The series, a heartwarming slice-of-life story centered around a maid’s culinary adventures in Japan, has revealed its broadcast schedule, streaming details, and key visual. Daisuke Sakuma of Snow Man will voice the mascot character, Chun.
Broadcast and Streaming Schedule
“The Food Diary of Miss Maid” will air on TOKYO MX, Yomiuri TV, and BS Asahi starting April 5, 2026, with AT-X joining the lineup shortly after. Specific broadcast times are as follows:
- TOKYO MX: Every Sunday at 10:00 PM, beginning April 5th
- Yomiuri TV: Every Monday at 1:59 AM, beginning April 6th
- BS Asahi: Every Sunday at 11:00 PM, beginning April 5th
- AT-X: Every Tuesday at 9:30 PM, starting April 7th (Repeats: every Thursday at 9:30 AM, every Monday at 3:30 PM)
Streaming will begin on dAnime Store, ABEMA, U-NEXT, and Anime Hodai, with Episode 1 available on Wednesday, April 1st at 12:00 AM. Subsequent episodes will stream every Sunday at 10:00 PM, starting April 5th. Other streaming services will begin distributing the series sequentially from April 5th. Broadcast and streaming dates are subject to change.
Key Visual Revealed
The newly unveiled key visual features Suzume, the main character, expressing delight at the sight of delicious food, surrounded by a colorful cast and an array of tempting dishes. The visual aims to evoke a sense of warmth and happiness.
Daisuke Sakuma Voices Chun
Daisuke Sakuma of Snow Man will lend his voice to Chun, the mascot character of the “Chun Guide.” Chun provides trivia and background information about the foods Suzume encounters throughout the series.

“Hello, this is Daisuke Sakuma, who will be voicing Chun. Chun is a sparrow who tells us about the origins and details of various foods. I put a lot of thought into how to portray Chun during the audition process. This series is full of delicious food, you can learn so much, and most of all, I can’t resist the ‘happy faces’ the characters make even as eating! Please enjoy on an empty stomach! Chun!”
Pre-Broadcast Live Stream and AnimeJapan 2026 Event
A special pre-broadcast live stream will be held on March 20th to celebrate World Sparrow Day. The stream will feature Kana Ichinose (Suzume Tachibana), Chihiro Sudo (Ricotta Fresca), Maki Kawase (Nana Komatsu), and Hiromi Igarashi (An Nobatsuki).
A special stage event is also confirmed at the d Animation Store booth at AnimeJapan 2026 on Sunday, March 29th at 12:00 PM. Kana Ichinose and Chihiro Sudo will be in attendance, with Yuko Gigi serving as the MC. The stage will be live-streamed on d Animation Store’s official YouTube channel. Shopping bags with animation teaser visuals and fans with Chun illustrations will be distributed on March 28th and 29th at the d Animation Store booth.
Production Details
The anime is being produced by EMT Squared and Magic Bus, with Ryosuke Senbo directing. Natsuko Takahashi and Saeka Fujimoto are the series composers, and Chiaki Abe is the character designer. Katsutoshi Kitagawa (ROUND TABLE) is composing the music.

The manga has been serialized in Kodansha’s ComicDAYS since December 2019 and currently has five volumes.
