AC Mailand besiegt Red Bull Salzburg 4:0 – Cisse-Hattrick, erste Saisonniederlage

Red Bull Salzburg Defeated 4-0 by AC Milan

Red Bull Salzburg suffered its first competitive defeat of the season on a Thursday, falling 4-0 to AC Milan in the Europa League at Wals-Siezenheim in front of 22,503 spectators. Alphadjo Cisse scored a hat-trick for the Italian side, while Goncalo Ramos added a late goal to secure Milan’s first points in the group stage following an earlier loss to Benfica.

Match Domination and Cisse’s Hat-Trick

Milan controlled the tempo from the opening whistle while Salzburg looked for counter-attacking opportunities under coach Danny Röhl. The visitors threatened early through Adrien Rabiot, whose volley went wide in the 9th minute, and Omari Hutchinson before Cisse opened the scoring in the 15th minute by heading in a cross from Hutchinson past defender Leandro Morgalla. Earlier, Christian Zawieschitzky saved in an infight against Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Kevin Boma cleared Hutchinson’s follow-up off the line in the 18th minute. Cisse struck again in the 33rd minute, left unmarked in the center to convert another cross. Just after halftime, a quick counter-attack allowed the 19-year-old Cisse to complete his hat-trick in the 49th minute following a VAR check for a potential offside.

Missed Chances and Late Milan Goals

Salzburg created several opportunities but failed to capitalize. Haris Tabakovic had a goal disallowed in the 25th minute because the preceding cross had already crossed the touchline, immediately followed by Bartos Mazurek shooting narrowly wide in the 26th minute. Milan brought on Luka Modric, Christian Pulisic, and Ramos around the hour mark, and Zawieschitzky stopped Hutchinson from a one-on-one breakaway in the 67th minute. Substitute Gaoussou Diakite squandered a promising opportunity in the penalty area at the start of the final phase in the 70th minute before Milan sealed the 4-0 victory in the 72nd minute when Ramos capitalized on a turnover by Mazurek near the penalty area. Diakite hit the side netting in the 80th minute, and the visitors finished the match with ten men after Pietro Terracciano received a red card in the 84th minute for a foul on Dominik Schmid.
