AC Milan Pursues Club Brugge Forward Nicolò Tresoldi Following Champions League Hat-Trick Against Inter Milan
AC Milan president Gerry Cardinale is pursuing a deal to sign Club Brugge striker Nicolò Tresoldi after the forward scored a hat-trick against Inter Milan in the Champions League, according to a report. The 2004-born forward netted three times against the Serie A title holders at the San Siro on Tuesday evening, prompting the Rossoneri leadership to step up their long-standing interest in the player.
Cardinale and Milan Management Track the Young Striker
Milan’s management has monitored Tresoldi’s development extensively, compiling numerous scouting reports on the player. Cardinale understands the technical valuation of the young striker and has instructed transfer officials to maintain direct contact with the player’s entourage. The RedBird group president has requested regular updates on Tresoldi’s future to prepare for a potential transfer attempt during the winter window or next summer.
Contract Status and Valuation at Club Brugge
Tresoldi remains under contract with Club Brugge until June 2029. The Belgian club rejected a 35 million euro bid from Roma for the striker last August, and his market valuation has since climbed past 50 million euros. At club level, Tresoldi has scored 32 goals in 69 matches, alongside 16 goals in 27 appearances for the Germany Under-21 national team.
Competition From Major European Clubs
Milan face significant competition for the forward’s signature. Arsenal, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Tottenham, and Inter Milan are all competing in the market for Tresoldi. The player’s father, former Atalanta right-back Emanuele, noted that Tresoldi’s personal affection for Milan’s colors could become a decisive factor in his next career step, potentially smoothing negotiations with Club Brugge in a manner similar to the club’s agreement for Ardon Jashari in the summer of 2025.
