Academy Museum and Honey Chile Entertainment Announce Spring Programs and Film Acquisitions

The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures has unveiled its spring 2026 programming, featuring a diverse lineup of screenings, events and exhibitions. Simultaneously, Honey Chile Entertainment, led by Felicia Pride, has secured film and television rights to Kristina Forest’s “The Greene Sisters” trilogy, signaling a continued commitment to Black storytelling.

Academy Museum Spring 2026 Programming

The Academy Museum’s spring schedule promises a rich experience for film enthusiasts. Highlights include a weekend dedicated to director Bong Joon Ho, featuring a conversation with David Fincher, and a screening of “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” coinciding with the opening of the “Marilyn Monroe: Hollywood Icon” exhibition. The Academy Museum will also host the annual Careers in Film Summit, connecting aspiring filmmakers with industry professionals.

Additional contributors to the spring programming include Steve Anker, Dion Beebe, Ashley Clark, Janie Gieser, Beth Kean, Ken Kwapis, Shane Mahan, Hannah Minghella, Max Minghella, Mandy Moore, Isis Mussenden, Dennis Muren, Ngozi Onwurah, Gerald Quist, Nia Vardalos, and Billy Dee Williams.

“We are thrilled to offer visitors an exciting lineup of programming this spring that celebrates the history of film while championing future filmmakers,” said Amy Homma, Director and President of the Academy Museum and Academy Collection. The museum will also feature ongoing exhibitions such as “Stories of Cinema: Oscars,” “Jaws: The Exhibition” (ending July 26, 2026), and “Barbie to Anna Karenina: The Cinematic Worlds of Sarah Greenwood and Katie Spencer” (through October 25, 2026). Educational programs, including sensory-friendly gallery explorations and workshops, will also be available.

Honey Chile Entertainment Acquires “The Greene Sisters” Trilogy

Award-winning filmmaker and television writer Felicia Pride’s Honey Chile Entertainment has acquired the film and television rights to Kristina Forest’s “The Greene Sisters” trilogy – “The Neighbor Favor,” “The Partner Plot,” and “The Love Lyric.” The series centers on three sisters navigating career, family, and modern love.

“I’ve been a fan of Felicia Pride’s function for years, and we share the same mission of creating life-affirming art featuring Black women,” said Forest in a statement. Pride will write and produce the first film and serve as producer on the subsequent adaptations.

“At Honey Chile, we’ve always centered the audience and the power of Black storytelling,” added Pride. “Kristina is such a smart writer whose work completely draws you into her worlds. Her ‘Greene Sisters’ trilogy captures romance, ambition, and partnership in ways that feel aspirational and deeply familiar.”

This acquisition underscores Honey Chile’s commitment to developing and producing stories by and about Black women over 40. The company is celebrating five years of operation and a continued focus on culturally resonant narratives.
