Accounts Payable Specialist Position Open in San Jose, California

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client to fill an Accounts Payable Specialist role at its corporate office in San Jose, California. The position is a direct hire and requires 100% on-site work.

Job Responsibilities

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for a full range of AP functions, including:

• Reviewing invoices for accuracy and matching them with purchase orders or receiving documents.
• Coding invoices appropriately.
• Reconciling vendor accounts.
• Coding and reconciling expense reports.
• Managing the weekly AP payment forecast.
• Verifying invoice accuracy and proper authorization.
• Assisting with other duties and projects as needed.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

• A minimum of three years of accounting experience with a strong focus on accounts payable.
• Solid knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable principles.
• Attention to detail, proactivity, and strong organizational skills.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate effectively.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel – intermediate level).

Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are considered a plus:

• Industry experience within a manufacturing company.
• Experience with a medium to large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Solid general accounting knowledge, including debits and credits.
• An Associate or Bachelor’s Degree.
• Fluency in Japanese (both speaking and writing).

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 per year. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off (PTO), a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, and life insurance.
