Fresi’s father was originally from Luogosanto. His grandparents lived in the village, and the actor spent extended periods there during his youth.

He addressed the community in fluent Gallurese—a local dialect he has studied for years and regularly speaks when visiting the island.
«I am officially a citizen of Luogosanto and this awareness moves me deeply,» Fresi stated, as reported by L’Unione Sarda. «It’s no longer an idea, a story, it’s reality. Luogosanto for me has always been ‘home,’ that place where you want to return when you are elsewhere.»
He added that the village represents his personal Ithaca, offering warmth, ideal climate, and familiar surroundings.
