Andreas Kraus, from the fertilizer department of RWA Korneuburg, addressed the impact of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), tariffs, and the dollar exchange rate on the fertilizer market. He emphasized the importance of continuous and needs-based fertilization, noting that nutrient deficiencies can lead to reduced yields and require long-term corrective measures. “A nutrient deficit not only leads to reduced yields, but often requires targeted fertilization over several years,” Kraus stated.

Thomas Karl, RWA department head for plant protection, provided information on new recording requirements and registrations within the plant protection industry. He highlighted the research and production efforts of KWIZDA, the sole nationally independent company in this field.
