Stockholm Derby Produces Eleven Goals and Late Winner
IF Brommapojkarna defeated AIK 6-5 in a historic Allsvenskan encounter at Strawberry Arena on Saturday, October 10, 2026. The match was scoreless at halftime before a staggering eleven goals were scored in the second half, marking the first time an Allsvenskan fixture has produced eleven goals in 77 years.
How Brommapojkarna Overcame a Four-Goal Deficit
The second half began with a flurry of activity as Simon Strand opened the scoring for Brommapojkarna in the 48th minute, followed quickly by an equalizer from AIK’s Abdihakin Ali in the 55th minute, as reported by Svenskfotboll.se. Brommapojkarna then surged ahead through goals from Kamilcan Sever in the 59th minute, Wilmer Odefalk in the 61st minute, another from Sever in the 65th minute, and Anton Kurochkin in the 70th minute to establish a commanding 5-1 lead.
Facing a heavy deficit, AIK supporters began leaving the stands at Strawberry Arena. However, the home side mounted an aggressive comeback. Taha Ayari scored in the 73rd minute, followed by two goals from Sixten Gustafsson in the 81st and 83rd minutes. Johan Hove then leveled the match at 5-5 in the seventh minute of stoppage time, making it the highest-scoring half in Allsvenskan history. Despite losing the lead, Mads Hansen secured the victory for Brommapojkarna by scoring in the ninth minute of stoppage time on an assist from Oliver Zandén, sending the forward to celebrate with the travelling supporters in the away corner.
Managerial Criticism Directed at the Match Officials
Brommapojkarna coach Ulf Kristiansson argued that AIK should not have been permitted back into the match, pointing to two erroneous decisions—including a failure to award a foul when Linus Carlstrand tackled Oliver Zandén ahead of the 1-1 goal—and incomprehensible cautions. Kristiansson added, The attitude of the judges is under all criticism
and claimed the officials kill the emotional connection to matches.
In addition to the on-field disputes, Aftonbladet reported that match-winner Mads Hansen was involved in a heated verbal exchange with AIK newcomer Lucas Assadi immediately after the final whistle, where the Chilean player pursued the goalscorer while shouting remarks that the Danish forward could not understand because he does not speak Spanish.
