airBaltic Suspends Flights to Dubai and Tel Aviv Amidst Middle East Tensions

Latvian airline airBaltic has temporarily suspended flights to and from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Tel Aviv, Israel, citing airspace restrictions and safety concerns related to the escalating situation in the Middle East. Flight Disruptions and Rerouting

On February 28, airBaltic flight BT792, en route from Dubai to Riga, Latvia, was forced to return to Dubai shortly after takeoff due to airspace restrictions in the region . The airline is prioritizing passenger and crew safety and is adjusting flight paths to avoid potentially restricted or high-risk airspaces.

The returning flight BT792 will continue its journey to Riga via Bucharest, Romania, with a crew change planned in Bucharest due to maximum working time limitations. The revised route will utilize airspace over Egypt or Saudi Arabia to ensure compliance with safety regulations .

Suspension Details
